Google Podcast App Announced

Google on 19th June announced the much awaited Google Podcasts app which looks like a very well thought of Podcast app, Google has tried to bring a podcasting solution multiple times in the past with Google Play Music and Google Listen but both of the solutions seemed incomplete in some or other way.

Google Podcasts, on the other hand, finally seems like a complete and well-cooked podcasting app for a change. Apple’s iOS ships with a Podcast app since forever and Google Podcasts can very well be called “the” podcast app for Android.

I have been fiddling around with the app since the launch day and here are my thoughts on the app.

Why Allo is my favorite announcement from Google I/O 2016?

Sundar Pichai led Google, this year at its annual conference announced a ton of things starting from Google Home to Instant Apps but what caught my attention the most was Allo because on one of these days I was wondering about the monopoly of Facebook in the messaging arena with two of the most used messaging apps namely Facebook Messenger and recently acquired WhatsApp and I came to a conclusion that no app can probably beat Facebook because of the number of users it has acquired since its existence but then comes Google with the Allo’s announcement to compete with Facebook, an app which is packed with features that were missing from the current messaging ecosystem.

It’s that time of the year when we roundup all our favorite smartphones from the year into various categories and 2015 has been a year of budget phones from makers like Motorola to OnePlus taking part in the competition and thus our first article from the lot will be the Top 5 smartphones under Rs. 30000.
